Welcome to my professional home page. I am Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of São Paulo, currently working with Complex Systems. My main research interest is to understand the influence of the network organization on the evolution of different dynamical processes, including synchronization and epidemic spreading. I also apply the Complex Network Theory and Data Mining Methods on the modeling of cortical networks, food webs, economic data, biological processes, urban planning and climate dynamics to get a better understanding of the structure and function of these systems. My group also develops new methods for data mining and pattern recognition based on graphs. A list of my main approved projects can be found in this link . If you need further information, please don't hesitate to contact me.
