I’m currently Associate Professor at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies of the University of Warwick, UK (please check my home page there for up-to-date information).
I’m still affiliated as Associate Professor (honorary, on leave) with the Department of Computer Systems of the Institute of Mathematical and Computing Sciences of the University of São Paulo (ICMC-USP) and Visiting Professor at the GIScience Research Group of the University of Heidelberg.
My research is situated within the transdisciplinary intersection space among information systems, science and technology studies, and geographic information science.
Research interests include: sociotechnical information systems, collaborative and social computing, geoinformation and geospatial computing, social media and crowdsourcing, volunteered geographic information, decision making, disaster risk management and urban resilience, information technology for development.
